Street seller that look like Eden Hazard, Chelsea Football Star

One night walking at Oxford street London, where the world’s premier shopping destination has over 300 stores to enjoy. My brother and I walk into the Primark store. It’s our first time entering and knowing about Primark, one of the famous successful stores that serves cheap fashion but is really good in quality. So, I bought myself a new winter jacket, scarf and gloves.

Since there are a lot of good stores along Oxford Street. We really enjoyed ourselves shopping. When we are travelling to another country, buying souvenirs is compulsory, taking a little something home with us as a reminder of our travels, something to show for where we have been, something we can use to look back and reminisce about the fantastic experience we had during our holiday.

I bought a lot of souvenirs including postcards, ornaments, keychains, t-shirts and many more for me, for my friends and not to forget my loved ones. But mostly for myself. HeHe

Buying souvenir tips: Make sure to buy them at a local store, much cheaper compared to stores that sell souvenirs at Airport ya!

We walked to different stores to buy and find the best souvenirs that we’re interested in, not to forget to look for cheaper items so that we can buy more. There are options to buy souvenirs either at the souvenir shops or souvenir stalls lining the sides of the road. I was more intrigued by the souvenir stalls so I went check on every each of the stalls for satisfaction.

At one of the souvenir stalls that I went to, the owner is much friendly and fun to chat with. As I was looking for something to buy, he came to me and said “Apa Khabar” and I was surprised and laughed, amazed by the British street seller knows how to speak Malay. From that moment, I realized that he is able to recognize Asian people who speak Bahasa because my face and skin really tells that I’m a Malay.

The street seller’s name is Johnny. Very fun guy. As we talked, he told me that he knows a bit about my country, Malaysia. Since he got friends here in Malaysia and had traveled to Malaysia before. I joked with him, “come again to Malaysia, pay me and let me be your travel guide” and he replied “Haha surely mate”, we both laughed. Lol!

I also told him, you really look like Eden Hazard, one of the Chelsea great players of all time. He laughed again. “Really? Nahhh I don’t like Chelsea, I’m a Tottenham Hotspur fan”. He didn’t look that shocked because he told me he gets the same reaction from other people every time he meets new people.

My brother and I managed to get a selfie. Here’s how he looks like Eden Hazard, wearing a Tottenham Hotspur beanie, really a true fan!

Since we both really get along, I bought a few souvenirs from his stall. He was so happy!
For me, it was one of the best shopping experiences I had when travelling. See ya again in future mate 🙂

Sister happy moment taking pictures with Korean cute boys

After a long day walking and exploring the city of Seoul, we head back to our hotel at Anyang City, CS Premier Hotel. It took around 30 mins to go from Anyang to Seoul. It’s a family trip. We had really good dinner at one of the Muslim buffet around Seoul that night. We went to our hotel room to get some rest and shower. But, that night doesn’t end so quickly as it’s only 10pm. It’s too early to go to bed, there are so many things to explore when you travel to another country. Make every second count while it lasts.

So, my family decided to walk around Anyang street that night. We gather back at the hotel lobby after 20 mins rest. I wore a shirt and sweater, as the weather was very cold and windy. It’s Autumn fall when we travel to South Korea. The temperatures during autumn are pretty cool, usually in the range of low 20°C in the beginning and reaching about 10°C towards the end of the season.

As we walked, we passed through a store that looked like a 7-eleven and walked in to buy some food and drinks. Since the weather is cold, we treat ourselves with hot drinks. I found myself a good table to sit facing the street view while enjoying my meal! Hee

Few minutes after we arrived, there was a group of Korean boys walking in the same store we’re in. I don’t know where they’re from, but surely they lived nearby. The store mood lights up from gloomy to happy when the boys are coming. As I was looking for another snack, I bumped into the Korean boys and tried to be nice and greet them with “Annyeonghaseyo” which means Hello in Korea. They are being surprised and greet me back.

Korea has been known for their famous variety show, Running Man. I pointed my finger to one of the boys and said, “Hey, you look like Yoo Jae-Seok” and they’re laughing hard. I told them that I was one of the Running Man fans and they liked me. I’m having so much fun teasing and joking with them.

My little sister really likes K-pop, watching k-drama and having a crush on K-pop idols. I don’t know which one, so many to tell. Ha-Ha

After the Korean boys settle their payment on their snacks and drinks, I’m thinking of my little sister to get her taking pictures with the boys, even though they are not K-pop idols, having a moment and picture with them surely will make her happy, at least! As I managed to bond with them, I politely asked them that my sister wanted to have a picture with them and they shouted “OK!”, as they seemed also excited about it.

My little sister had a big smile that night and felt shy at the same time. Thanks to Me, for making that happen!

I’m pretty sure she was really happy for those sweet moments. Like said earlier, every moment counts. Peace:)

Maggi Hot Cup @ Cocktail’s Bar

After a two hours journey on the Eurostar from London St Pancras to Paris Gare du Nord, we had our first check in at the Forest Hill Paris La Villette. It’s a family trip. It’s late in the evening, we had our early dinner so we didn’t have our dinner at the hotel we checked in, straight to the hotel room after receiving the key card. Feeling the excitement as the hotel view is awesome and also own Cocktail’s Bar, the Hippopotamus restaurant, all inside the hotel.

It was almost too hectic at times, I was too tired but also hungry at the same time. Well, I always get hungry every time. I get a room to sleep with my brother. After shower, to fill my other empty stomach I decided to eat a maggi cup. In searching for hot water, I can’t find any water cooler in the hallway.

Soo, my brother and I went to the Cocktail’s Bar instead looking for hot water for our maggi hot cup meal. Yohoo!

We found a waitress, beautiful Paris born with white long hair, cute face to serve us. I greet her with “Bonjour!”, French greeting that means hello and ask politely for hot water. Lucky me, she understands and speaks English because some of French people do not speak English, and even my English was not that bad, as long as we both understand each other. At first, I thought that she would bring the hot water for us but instead she grabbed our maggi cup and helped us pour the hot water into our maggi cup along with the bar serving tray. She said it’s okay to take the tray to the hotel room, but then don’t forget to return! Ha-ha

We can just eat our maggi cup at the Cocktail’s Bar but it just doesn’t seem right because who eats maggi at the Bar right? Ha-ha. Soo, we head to our room along with the maggi cup and the serving tray. Time to eat!

To think back, it’s funny when we wander around the hotel lobby and finally go to the Cocktail’s Bar carrying the maggi cup just to find hot water, to satisfy the hunger of our stomach. But, it’s all worth it. I had a very good sleep that night.

And guess who’s the one that has to return the serving tray?

Hint: The one who carry the serving tray at the beginning 😛
